What is Direct Garment Printing

State of the art direct to garment printing is the latest technology for cost effective multi colored printing of Tee Shirts and other flat promotional items. The Direct to garment method allows your tee shirt to be printed in multi colors in one process very similar to printing on paper. The inks used are water based and environmentally friendly. This process allows us to offer no minimum orders and small runs without all the additional set up costs associated with traditional screen printing.

 

Why Choose Direct Garment Printing

Traditional screen printing requires several steps to be performed in order to produce a multi-colored tee shirt.

• A stencil is created (one for each color in the image) using a special screen-like material
• T-shirt is stretched over a wood or metal frame.
• The stencil/screen is placed over the shirt.
• Ink is forced through the open areas of the screen, creating an image on the shirt.
• Repeat process again for each color of the graphic
• Clean up of screens to be re-used

 

Screen printing can produce bright, colorful images, but, is messy and requires additional steps to clean up after each print job. On top of all this some of the inks used in traditional screen print is not environmentally friendly.

 

We also offer traditional screen printing, heat transfer, vinyl letters and embroidery, but, these processes may require additional set-up costs.
